Save Waterloo Library

The Waterloo Library has been a part of our community since 1972.

As well as providing literary fiction, non-fiction works, research materials and multi-media items to use and borrow, the library staff have spent years curating Koori, Mandarin and Russian collections for the surrounding residents. Regular programs and events such as rhymetime and storytime sessions are also held weekly.

The Waterloo area is unique; it's home to long-term elderly residents, young families, school children, job-seekers, university students, Mandarin speakers, a Russian community and a strong Aboriginal community.

Asking these residents to sacrifice their library for Green Square Library is not right. Not only do many of Waterloo's older patrons find it difficult to travel to Green Square, but the area also is predicted to grow a further 124% by 2036.

Please join us in saving this vital, much-loved community resource.
